Speech Language Pathologist (Research Study)

Position Overview Performs professional work in various phases of research studies of children and young adults with communication disorders and typical development. Key Responsibilities Manage daily lab activities including schedules and budgets. Lead participant recruitment efforts. Supervise and mentor lab assistants. Administer standardized tests measuring language and communication; share outcomes with participants or their guardians. Manage communication with the Internal Review Board, including drafting proposals and modifications. Represent the laboratory on social media platforms. Assist in the preparation of stimuli and development of appropriate test procedures. Enter data into databases. Collaborate with team members to establish and document reliable research procedures. Provide transportation for patients as needed. Provide patient care and education according to the patient population served. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Commitment to excellence. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with good driving record and ability to provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed). Pass annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check. Meet auto insurance requirements per Boys Town policy and/or state/local laws. Valid or eligible for Nebraska state licensing with 2 years of transfer or hire experience. Certification from ASHA (CCC or equivalent) within 2 years of hire. Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) certification within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in evaluation and/or interventions with individuals with communication disorders. Minimum 1 year of research lab experience as a student or professional. Fluency in Spanish.
