Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Billings, Montana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate certification.Details\n \n LDRP unit providing labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care\n Cares for couplets as well as antepartum and high-risk pregnancy patients\n Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM\n Call requirement of 3-4 shifts per 8-week block\n Floating required to Pediatrics and NICU, with ability to safety sit on any unit\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (Montana or Compact) currently in hand\n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)\n Minimum 2 years of prior L&D RN experience required\n Charge nurse experience preferred\n Experience with high-risk antepartum care preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum stages\n Manage high-risk pregnancy complications including pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and preterm labor\n Perform fetal monitoring, including external and internal methods, and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns\n Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating, scrubbing, and recovery care\n Provide newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and discharge teaching\n First-time travelers are not accepted for this position\n Local candidates are not accepted; must reside 75+ miles from the facility\n References required for consideration\n Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before eligibility\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-746863.
