Mental Health TechnicianLincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140-bed hospital offering inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military, veterans and first responders. Also, care is given by registered nurses 24 hours a day. Since 1986, Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has been a proven psychiatric care provider in mental health and substance use.As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. Working alongside licensed clinical staff, you will provide compassionate, hands-on support that addresses the physical, social, and behavioral needs of each patient.Job Duties: The MHT provides routine non-acute physical, behavioral, and mental care to the patient on the milieu under the direction of licensed staff. Completes all required documentation in a clear, concise manner, showing understanding of patient goals and treatment plan. Responsive to patient specific factors and adapts to clinical intervention to fit individual patient need/goals. Maintains consistency throughout shift functions and through outgoing and oncoming shift report to ensure appropriate treatment is provided to each patient. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
