Pharmacy Technician - Eagle River

Description This position will be supporting our clinic in Eagle River, AK. Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, 40 hours per week. The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist practice thru handling appointments, gathering and documentation of patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and medical providers. This role provides expertise in prior authorizations, prescription renewal coordination as applicable and may administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site. • H.S. Diploma or GED
• Upon hire: Alaska Pharmacy Technician License.
• Within 2 years of hire: National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification within 2 years of hire as applicable.
• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience if PTCB or 2 years Pharmacy Technician experience if without National Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians).
• 1 year Customer Service experience
