Job Description:

Perform nursing duties in the Telemetry unit, ensuring patient care in a 28-bed unit. RNs are responsible for interpreting EKGs and providing care to neuro post-surgical, post cranis, spine, and CVAs post TPA patients. Work with a support team including PCTs, a charge nurse, and a clinical supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments and patient care in a Telemetry unit.
• Interpret and respond to EKGs and monitor patients' vital signs.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, including hospitalist, RT, and pharmacy teams.
• Ensure proper documentation using Cerner charting system.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer.
• Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation, focusing on sterile techniques.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS
• COVID vaccine required or a valid declination form.
