About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Consideration may be given for candidates with approximately 1.5 years of experience. License: Valid state license required. Compact license must be in hand at submission. Certifications: ACLS AWHONN Advanced BCLS NRP Must-Have: Expertise in performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision. Experience with triage in the labor and delivery setting. EPIC charting experience. Description: The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in the labor and delivery unit. Candidates must have expert experience and be able to perform sterile vaginal exams without supervision. The position requires working every other weekend, with a potential requirement to exceed this to meet unit needs. Holidays off must be requested upfront, with a commitment to work 3 out of 5 major holidays. The registered nurse will care for neonates, adolescents, and adults, with an average of 6-8 deliveries per day. The staffing ratio is typically 1 nurse to 2 patients. This position may involve floating between similar units as needed. Candidates should possess a strong skill set in labor and delivery nursing procedures and interventions.
