This role is crucial for the proper operation of plant equipment and systems. Maintenance Electricians utilize a variety of industry-specific tools, including but not limited to ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers, to ensure efficient and safe electrical operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled and emergency work as directed by the supervisor to maintain all assigned equipment and componentsDocument findings, deficiencies, and man-hours on work ordersMaintain a clean and safe work areaAdhering to all company work and safety rulesAssist other crafts in accordance with union and management guidelinesReceive on-the-job training from experienced personnel as per company guidelinesUnderstand and apply blueprints and technical diagramsInspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakersIdentify and report electrical problems using testing devicesUse hand and power tools effectivelyComply with state and local building regulationsComplete work orders on time and create records of materials usedSet up and test computer systems, including running cables and connecting jacks and plugsComply with all relevant safety protocols and standards, including OSHA regulationsQualificationsValid Certified Electrician licenseValid Driver's LicenseStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or certificate in a related fieldPrior experience in facilities maintenance or a related fieldKnowledge of safety regulations and building codesOngoing professional development or training in electrical systems and safety protocolsCompleted 3-4 year apprenticeship programExperience in PLC (Programmable Logic controller)Experience in VFD (Variable Frequency Drivers)Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to climb ladders and do overhead workMust be able to bend, squat, and complete tasks on the floorAble to walk and stand for prolonged periodsAble to operate hand and power tools for extended periodsWork involves both indoor and outdoor environments, potentially exposing the individual to various weather conditionsOfficial Contact InformationEmail: All official emails will come from an @Swisher.com addressWebsite: Verify job listings and contact details on We will never contact you via Teams, Zoom, or Google Meets.
