Job Type Full-time As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator for our AMS Operations business unit based in Torrance, CA where we manufacture a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, and electronic assemblies. The Project Coordinator is a hands-on role for a candidate who looks forward to managing multiple aerospace/defense projects in a fast-paced environment. It is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a variety of product types, coordinating with multiple departments, solving problems, and taking ownership of projects. Essential Responsibilities Correspond with suppliers and negotiate component pricing in support of project proposals. Plan and manage procurement and supplier selection in coordination with Production and Engineering. Draft purchase orders in support of procurement plans. Follow up with suppliers and ensure on-time delivery. Maintain and update project schedules and status. Communicate with key customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure project milestones are met. Coordinate with cross-functional teams in Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Minimum Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience using MS Project, Smartsheet, or comparable project management software preferred. Strong organizational, interpersonal communication and management skills. Ability to manage own workload: plan, track, and communicate progress proactively. Flexible and adaptable to change, creative problem solver. Limited travel required in support of supplier and customer visits. Work Experience / Education Minimum bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance. Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination. Experience working in the Aerospace / Defense industry is preferred. Technical background and/or experience is preferred.
