Job Opportunity: OB/GYN

Our organization is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN to become a part of our expanding Women’s Health Service Line. This role will be located in East Islip, with delivery services provided at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip. We are an integrated healthcare system dedicated to serving the communities of Long Island, New York, comprising six hospitals, three skilled nursing facilities, a regional Home Care and Hospice service, and a community-based agency for individuals with developmental disabilities. With over 17,000 employees and an operating budget exceeding $3.9 billion, we serve more than three million residents across Suffolk, Nassau, and Eastern Queens Counties.

In recent years, we have made significant investments in our Women’s Health Service Line to create a comprehensive, integrated program that includes specialties such as OB/GYN, gynecologic oncology, maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Our OB/GYN team supports approximately 4,700 deliveries each year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care for patients with gynecologic conditions, including outpatient assessments, inpatient care, and major surgical procedures.
• Engage in Graduate Medical Education (GME) activities for fellows, residents, and medical students, which may include lectures, preceptorships, and small group teaching. A strong commitment to academic medicine and education is essential.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage.
• Contribute to clinical trials and quality initiatives based on performance data.
• Provide services in alignment with accepted standards of care and uphold the ethical principles of the medical profession.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid NYS MD or DO license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Demonstrated strong clinical background in evaluation and management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels to foster a culture of patient safety and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is between $312,271 and $465,235. This estimate reflects a good faith effort and actual compensation will depend on various factors, including education, training, skills, licensure, certification, competencies, and relevant experience. Please note that this range does not include potential bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation, nor does it account for the value of benefits.
