Key Responsibilities Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the functional status, strengths, and limitations of patients across various settings, including physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional aspects. Through detailed assessments, Occupational Therapists identify areas of difficulty and establish personalized treatment goals. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, therapeutic goals, and patient preferences. Utilize evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques, guiding patients through activities to enhance independence, productivity, and overall quality of life. Patient Education and Training: Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the therapeutic process, adaptive strategies, and techniques to facilitate functional improvements. Provide hands-on training in activities of daily living, mobility skills, energy conservation, and the use of assistive devices to promote safety and performance. Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as COTAs, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians, to coordinate holistic care plans addressing multifaceted patient needs. Ensure effective communication and teamwork for seamless transitions and comprehensive support. Progress Monitoring and Outcome Measurement: Continuously monitor patient progress, reassess goals, and modify treatment plans as needed. Use standardized assessment tools, functional measures, and patient feedback to evaluate effectiveness and track improvements over time. Qualifications Master’s/Doctorate Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current license/certification in the state of practice TMC is an equal opportunity employer.
