Application Developer

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• 7+ years relevant Information Technology experience
• Strong Java programming/development skills, with hands-on experience
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern front-end framework, preferably Angular
• Experience with, or knowledge of, the Spring Framework and RESTful services
• Experience with, or knowledge of, SQL and ORM libraries such as Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with Git branching and merging within a team to manage source code
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities and communication to multiple stakeholders
• High School Diploma or GED

• I am seeking a candidate who will be dedicated full-time to the development and enhancement support for existing applications as well as new development.
• My responsibilities will include designing, programming, developing, and modifying software systems, applications, and tools, both existing and potentially new in the future.
• I expect the candidate to analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Collaboration with teammates, other service providers, vendors, and users to develop new program features will be crucial.
• I need someone who can develop unit and integration tests, participate in functional and regression tests to ensure programs produce the desired results, and verify instructions are correct.
• Correcting errors by making appropriate changes and re-checking the programs to ensure the desired results are produced is essential.
• The candidate will participate in code reviews by reviewing and incorporating feedback from teammates as well as providing feedback to others based on existing standards and recommended programming practices.
• I require the deployment of code to development, test, and production environments using existing DevOps infrastructure/tools.
• Reviewing help desk messages periodically and working with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues will be expected.
• Organizing and maintaining documentation of application development and subsequent revisions is important so that others can understand the program.

- Preferred qualifications include experience with Ext JS (v3 and v4), Groovy (v2), Grails (v2), and Bootstrap (v3+), understanding of SQL and Elasticsearch, and cloud experience, particularly in AWS.
