Job TitleSenior/Staff Ultrasound System Engineer – Medical Device (San Diego, CA)Job DescriptionSenior/Staff Ultrasound System Engineer - Medical Device (San Diego, CA)We are seeking an Ultrasound System Engineer to engage in the design/development of our next generation Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) products that are helping to save lives around the world.Your role:Design, develop, integrate, and validate ultrasound imaging systems and subsystems.Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and clinical engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.Develop and evaluate system architectures, signal processing performance, and overall system functionality.Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Help translate marketing/customer requirements into engineering specifications.quality, and regulatory teams to balance security, safety, usability, and time-to-market.You're the right fit if: You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in engineering, with a focus on developing complex systems.You bring a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, integration, and testing, along with experience developing medical devices across the full product lifecycle; bonus: experience with ultrasound imaging systems or ultrasound-based medical devices.You hold a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.You demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to high-quality, compliant product development in regulated environments.You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
