Job Title: Service Manager - Transport Refrigeration

W&B Service Company has an excellent opportunity for a Service Manager-Reefer . We are the largest transport refrigeration dealer of Carrier Transicold, a world leader in Truck, Trailer and rail refrigeration systems. We are also the nation's largest full-service Hyundai Translead trailer dealer. We have 26 facilities including mobile, throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Chicago, and Ohio.

Position Summary:

The Service Manager will oversee all aspects of the service department on the reefer side of the business. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality repairs, efficient operations, and superior customer service. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader who can effectively manage and develop a team of technicians while remaining hands-on to support diagnostics, repairs, and training when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transport refrigeration technicians to achieve department goals in safety, efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards
• Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, quality of repairs, customer communications, and repair prioritization.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with manufacturer standards and company policies.
• Perform quality control checks on completed work to ensure accuracy and safety
• Provide hands-on support and training in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and actual repairs of reefer units, and APU's, if needed.
• Conduct technician training, reinforcing proper repair techniques, and company standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including labor efficiency, productivity, attendance, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage work orders, and customer invoices.
• Collaborate with parts, sales, and administrative teams to ensure smooth interdepartmental communication and operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement through process evaluations, technician feedback, and performance reviews.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in transport refrigeration service (Carrier / Thermo King)
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills; able to perform hands-on repairs and lead by example.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to train and mentor technicians with varying levels of experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills;

Compensation: Pay depends on experience.
