Postdoctoral Fellow – Nuclear Engineering Teaching Lab Department: Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering Location: PICKLE RESEARCH CAMPUS Hours: 40 per week, exempt Start: Immediately / Until Sep 01, 2024 Purpose The Postdoctoral Fellow conducts research in mobile manipulation for handling material in nuclear and/or hazardous environments. Responsibilities Carry out research in applied robotics for use in extreme environments (nuclear, oil & gas, military, or other applications). Co‑author peer‑reviewed research papers. Collaborate with group members and the Principal Investigator to define research scope. Perform related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field earned within past three years with research in robotics or software for complex systems. Experience preparing proposals and peer‑reviewed technical papers. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and sponsors.
