Director, Palliative Medicine Service Line

This job leads the strategic leadership, operational management, and overall performance of designated service lines within the healthcare organization. Ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while driving service line growth, efficiency, standardization, and profitability. Collaborates with clinical, administrative, and executive leaders to develop and implement strategic plan, optimize resource utilization, and enhance outcomes.

Preferred - Master's degree in healthcare or business administration or related fields. Work Experience Required - 5 years of leadership experience in healthcare or related field. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. • Leads diverse work teams, develops organizational strategies for program excellence, and engages partners. • Demonstrates professional interpersonal skill, builds relationships, and relates to executive management, professionals, and business and community leaders. • Exhibits excellent leadership and self-direction skills, demonstrates good judgment in handling difficult situations, and applies strong organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills. • Travels between and throughout facilities. Job Duties • Develops and implements strategic plans for assigned service lines in alignment with the healthcare organization's overall goals and objectives. • Identifies growth opportunities and innovative approaches to enhance service line offerings and market competitiveness. • Monitors industry trends and advancements to ensure the service lines remain at the forefront of excellence and technological innovation. • Collaborates with department heads, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to streamline processes, improve workflow, and enhance services. • Implements and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of service. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nursing staff, administrative leaders, and external partners. • Monitors financial performance, identify areas for cost savings, and implement strategies to improve financial stability. • Fosters a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages excellent employee experience, professional growth and development. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible. Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid. The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
