Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
The travel RN in Labor & Delivery is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients. This role involves supporting high-risk pregnancies and ensuring patient safety and comfort during labor and delivery processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Administer medications, perform procedures such as C-sections, cerclages, and other labor-related interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
• Document patient progress accurately in the Meditech EMR system.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-equipped labor and delivery environment.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor & Delivery or antepartum high-risk obstetrics.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and handle high-pressure situations.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric procedures, fetal monitoring, and patient care protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
