Manufacturing Unit Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. You will be mainly accountable for:

The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the ELDS in North America. Main stakeholders are production, quality, maintenance, engineering, etc . You will be mainly accountable for:
- Report HSE incidents to management and relevant stakeholders and coordinate immediate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead or facilitate comprehensive incident investigations using root cause analysis methodologies to identify systemic failures and develop effective corrective actions.
- Share lessons learned and best practices from incident investigations across the organization to drive continuous improvement and prevent similar incidents.
- Implement safety culture and behavioral change programs to foster a proactive safety mindset and strengthen employee engagement in hazard identification and reporting.
- Maintain and execute the HSE compliance calendar to ensure all regulatory and organizational requirements are met and documented for audit readiness.
- Conduct comprehensive HSE assessments including Activity-Based Risk Assessments (ABRA), PPE evaluations, machine guarding inspections, and LOTO compliance verification.
- Provide expert oversight and guidance for high-risk activities (hot work, confined space entry, working at heights, aerial lifts) through permit systems and work procedures for both internal staff and contractors.
- Bachelor degree plus minimum of 3 years HSE related experience.
- Certification and training in Safety, preferred.
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations, preferred.
- Skills in database management systems and MS Office.
- Management System - Capable to implement the ABB Way .Management System for HSE as well as the ISO standards (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)..
- Waste Management - Train employees on waste management to accomplish reduction targets as well as waste management compliance.
- Ergonomics - Competent to perform ergonomic assessments, drive improvements and train employees on ergonomic injuries prevention.
- Candidates must already have authorization to work in the US.
