Shift: (Part-Time 24 hours -Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am) Primary Job Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient clinical critical care skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills [Required] Basic computer skills and commitment to hourly patient rounding [Required] Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred] Must possess frequent independent judgment and the ability to handle clinical situations requiring sound professional judgment and critical-thinking skills, including clinical assessment, data analysis, and patient response. [Preferred] Responsible for providing quality patient care and continuously prioritizing multiple duties. [Preferred] Ability to function calmly and professionally during stressful situations. [Preferred] Utilization of assessment, reassessment, and critical-thinking skills in dealing with changes in patient outcomes. [Preferred] General knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques, as well as the pharmacological process in the appropriate administration or delivery of medications. [Preferred] Skill to maintain effective working relationships with health professionals and others to foster an environment conducive to carrying out the mission of the facility. [Preferred] Skill to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, to direct the overall professional nursing services in a manner that encourages the open exchange of ideas and information.
