Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active Physical Therapist License Certifications: Certified Wound Specialist or Board Certification in Wound Care Preferred Must-Have: Acute care experience, including ICU/CCU. Description: This is a backfill contract position for a physical therapist. The role is for a duration of 13 weeks. The shift is from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. There is no on-call requirement. Rotation for weekends occurs every 3 to 4 weekends. The unit has 72 beds and staff including 2 physical therapists and 1 occupational therapist with PRN speech therapy support. Candidates without the required acute care experience will not be considered. Preferred candidates will have wound care experience. Common procedures include open heart, TAVR, and LVAD implants. The ideal candidate will possess a respectful demeanor towards management, patients, and staff. Attention to safety and a friendly, caring attitude is essential. Candidates should be able to manage their time and attendance independently. Scrub color is Caribbean blue, with khaki bottoms and navy polo. Communication among providers and therapy staff is effective. The environment is supportive, featuring experienced staff. The team consists of professionals with 15 and 30+ years of experience, including a certified wound care therapist.
