Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify their care requirements.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and administer medications as prescribed.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations promptly.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.

Education

An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in a Compact state or the relevant regional licensure is necessary.

Experience

At least one year of RN experience is required, with endoscopy experience considered a strong advantage.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs.

Physical Requirements

This position requires good speech and auditory acuity for effective communication, visual acuity for patient observation, and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently. There may be exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
