Adjunct Faculty, School of Integrative Science and Technology

Position: Adjunct Faculty – Integrative Science and Technology Kean University invites qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Integrative Science and Technology Program at the Union campus. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses: Research Methods, Computational Science, and Statistics. Teach graduate courses: Scientific Writing, Translational Science and Medicine, Biostatistics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Innovation, Molecular Biology, and Computational Science. Prepare and deliver course content, assignments, and assessments. Provide at least one (1) hour of availability outside of the classroom per week for each 3–4 credit class taught; provide 30 minutes of availability for each additional class. Offer at least 30 minutes of availability per week for each 1–2 credit class taught. Maintain student engagement, respond to inquiries, and provide timely feedback. Use the university’s Learning Management System consistently with institutional guidelines. Adhere to all university policies, including the New Jersey First Act. Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field; ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D., or other acceptable disciplinary doctorates are encouraged. Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level, unless otherwise indicated. Proficiency in a Learning Management System. Availability to teach on campus or online (Kean Global). Must be able to offer required office hours. Ability to establish a principal residence in New Jersey within 365 days of hire if newly hired. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate of $2,100 per credit (effective September2025); $2,225 per credit (effective September2026); additional $75 per credit after 13th semester taught. Enrollment in the state‑administered retirement plan when eligible. Eligibility to enroll in the Part‑Time State Health Benefits Program for medical and prescription drug coverage.
