As a Security Guard Social Services Center in Coram, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access awareness, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, offices, entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
