Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Physical Therapist will include the following critical responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, utilizing assessment tools to determine functional limitations and appropriate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies, regularly assessing patient progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Provide consultations to healthcare providers, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for patients.
• Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, evaluations, and patient interactions in compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, effectively communicating patient needs and updates to referral sources and physicians.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and other leadership functions within the rehabilitation center, contributing to program development and public education on wellness and preventive care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through attending workshops, seminars, and in-service training, while sharing knowledge with colleagues.

• Actively engage in educating patients, families, and support systems about treatment protocols, recovery goals, and aftercare plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, those with chronic conditions, and athletes looking to regain optimal performance. Your expertise will help patients of all ages overcome barriers to movement and functionality, focusing on customized rehabilitation that meets their unique needs.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for patient education and collaborative work with colleagues.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic health record systems to document treatment plans and communicate effectively.
• BLS certification, ensuring your capability to respond to medical emergencies.

Preferred Experience
