This role emphasizes preventive care, chronic condition management, and whole-person health—without productivity quotas tied to volume.Spira Care is redefining primary care by placing the focus back where it belongs—on patients and physicians. Physicians partner closely with care teams to proactively manage patient health, reduce unnecessary utilization, and create meaningful, long-term patient relationships.Job Description:Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality primary care services, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditionsBuild trusted, long-term relationships with patients through longer appointment timesCollaborate with an interdisciplinary care team (nurses, care guides, behavioral health, pharmacists)Utilize data and evidence-based guidelines to improve outcomes and patient experienceParticipate in care coordination, population health initiatives, and quality improvement effortsDocument care accurately and efficiently using the electronic health record (EHR)Support Spira Care’s mission, values, and patient-first cultureMinimum QualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal MedicineActive or eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and/or KansasDEA license (or ability to obtain)BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.Maintain licensures and certifications throughout employment.Passion for value-based care and team-based practiceStrong communication skills and a patient-centered mindsetSpira Care has specific vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
