About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – Tennessee**Start Date:** July 27, 2026 **Location:** Hermitage, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; every other weekend requirement; self-scheduling with 4-week rotations**Highlights:** - Progressive Care Unit with 34 and 25 bed units; nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights- Diverse case mix including post-cardiac cath care, stroke patients, peritoneal dialysis, and respiratory support- Advanced equipment experience including BiPAPs, high flow O2, Vapotherm, cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips- EMR system: Meditech; unit utilizes tech support with 2-3 techs per shift when fully staffed- Exposure to procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, and central line care- Black scrubs uniform; floating may be required between PCU units or to med-surg floors**Requirements:** - Active RN license- BLS and ACLS certifications required- Critical thinking skills with strong EKG rhythm interpretation- Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips- Peripheral IV skills required; peritoneal dialysis experience preferred- Experience with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen systems, and multiple oxygen delivery methods- Stroke care and post-cardiac cath care experience strongly preferred- Experience with tube feedings, NG/Dobhoff tubes, and wound vac troubleshooting**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This Progressive Care Unit offers a collaborative, "care like family" culture with excellent teamwork and strong tech support.
