Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This position requires a registered nurse (RN) with a focus on oncology, specifically for first-time travelers in the field. The role involves floating between multiple units as needed, providing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, biotherapy, and related treatments.

Shift Details

Shift Type: Day, 3x12-Hour (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM)
Weekend Requirements: Yes, every other weekend
Floating Requirement: Yes, across various units
On-Call Requirement: No

Qualifications

Must possess ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification
Experience with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy patients is preferred
Travelers are required to have a vehicle for this assignment
Must have at least 1 year of experience in a comparable role

Job Responsibilities

Administration of chemotherapy and other related treatments
Continuous monitoring of patients undergoing treatment
Care and management of ports and central lines
Management of potential complications such as acute tumor lysis syndrome and anaphylaxis
Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment and side effects
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care

Transportation and Accommodations

Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities. Additional incentives such as mileage reimbursement and hotel accommodations may be provided when floating to specific locations.

Special Requirements

All candidates must be willing to adhere to the facility's policies regarding floating and scheduling, including holiday coverage. Requests for time off or specific scheduling must be provided upfront during the application process.
