Accounting Specialist

A GREAT ROLE FOR THE ACCOUNTANT WHO WANTS MORE THAN TRANSACTIONAL WORK.A growing technology company in Rancho Bernardo is adding an Accounting Specialist to its corporate accounting team. This position will work across general ledger activity, reconciliations, close support, reporting, and accounting operations.You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Accounting team while gaining exposure to several areas of the business. The ideal candidate is someone who can independently manage their workload, catch inconsistencies, and isn't afraid to dig into a number that doesn't make sense.WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ONPrepare and post journal entriesComplete monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end closeMaintain supporting schedules for assigned accountsReview general ledger transactions for accuracyResearch discrepancies and make necessary correctionsAssist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assetsPrepare recurring accounting reportsAssist with intercompany transactionsReview expense activity and supporting documentationSupport audit and tax requestsMaintain organized accounting filesAssist with process improvement initiativesProvide backup support across the accounting departmentHandle special projects assigned by Accounting leadership
