Work Environment\n

As a remote position, our mental health counselor will enjoy a flexible workspace while remaining fully engaged with our supportive team. The work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient needs. While the position allows for remote work, occasional visits to the Galveston outpatient office may be required for team meetings or essential evaluations.

Key Responsibilities\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, who often face complex mental health challenges. You will work with patients experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and other age-related mental health conditions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A strong foundation in geriatric mental health, demonstrated through educational or professional experiences.

• Excellent communication skills, characterized by empathy and the ability to build trusting relationships with elderly patients and their families.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong comfort level with relevant technology.
