EARLY EDUCATION TEACHER ASSISTANT

The YMCA Mt Hope Childcare Center is hiring a Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a high-quality early learning classroom serving infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and wants hands-on experience in a licensed early childhood program. Schedule: M-F between the hours of 8:15 am and 5:30 pm. Key Responsibilities Assist with implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum Support lesson planning for both indoor and outdoor activities Help conduct child observations and assessments Maintain classroom environment aligned with ITERS/ECERS standards Follow DCYF licensing regulations and BrightStars standards Conduct daily health checks and maintain documentation Track attendance and meal counts Support daily routines and transitions Communicate with families through daily or weekly updates Ensure proper sign-in/sign-out procedures Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Attend required trainings and staff meetings Qualifications 18+ years old High School Diploma or GED Interest in early childhood education or childcare Ability to work as part of a team Benefits & Perks Free YMCA membership Paid training and professional development Flexible, part-time schedule Opportunities for growth in early childhood education Supportive, team-oriented work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Greater Providence YMCA
