About the Program Rosendin's Summer Internship Program is a paid 12 week hands-on experience designed for students ready to take the next step in their professional journey. You'll gain exposure to the electrical construction industry by working on real projects alongside experienced professionals across areas such as: Project Management Engineering BIM (Building Information Modeling) Estimating & Preconstruction Procurement & Supply Chain Apply classroom learning while exploring career paths and taking on meaningful responsibilities alongside industry leaders. What You'll Gain Hands-on experience contributing to active projects Opportunities to take ownership of meaningful work and make an impact Mentorship and guidance from industry experts Exposure to electrical construction systems, processes, and technologies Development of technical, professional, and leadership skills Networking opportunities across teams and business functions. What You'll Do As an Engineering Intern, you may: Assist engineers with electrical system design activities, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems. Support the preparation and review of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Assist with basic electrical calculations, engineering analyses, and project-related deliverables. Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering and construction teams. Support field visits and site observations to gain exposure to project execution and existing electrical systems. Learn and utilize industry software, tools, and engineering best practices while providing administrative and technical support to the engineering team. Works effectively with others and communicates clearly and professionally What You Bring to Us You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later in a field aligned with Rosendin's work, including but not limited to: Rising junior or rising senior status preferred Electrical Engineering Architectural Engineering Construction Sciences Construction Engineering Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Previous construction or engineering internship experience a plus What You’ll Need to Be Successful: Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts Familiarity (or willingness to learn) tools such as Autodesk (AutoCAD/Revit), Microsoft Office, and engineering analysis software Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to follow direction, ask questions, and take initiative Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a team environment Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting Working Conditions General work environment: This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Pay Range $25.00-$28.00 Hourly Pay Range The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description.
