Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, Microservices Architecture, AWS, and PostgreSQL/Aurora. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native backend services supporting high-performance enterprise applications.
The role requires strong hands-on experience building production-grade backend systems, REST APIs, distributed services, and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
Build scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs.
Design and manage database solutions using PostgreSQL / Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
Develop and deploy backend services using AWS cloud services.
Implement service-to-service communication, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
Ensure system reliability, scalability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and maintain coding standards.
Follow secure development practices and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
Experience building backend services using FastAPI.
Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
Experience developing and supporting REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL / Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
Strong experience with AWS services:

IAM
CloudWatch
Experience with asynchronous processing and distributed systems.
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Docker and containerization.
Kubernetes experience.
Infrastructure as Code experience:
Terraform
CloudFormation
Experience with messaging systems:
AWS SQS

Kafka
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Required Experience
5+ years of backend software development experience.
Proven experience building and supporting production-grade Python microservices on AWS.
Experience working in enterprise cloud environments.
