Email Security Engineer (Iron port)

Responsibilities Communicate clearly and collaborate with team members to work toward successful execution of tasks; Provide Out of Hours support on an On-Call roster/rotation basis Manage full life cycle of engineering projects; perform complex development work and provide recommendations to management on potential solutions to issues. Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of development areas and how team contributions factor into overall health of the technology function Manage and resolve a variety of problems within their respective technology setting and provide solutions based on best practices and existing precedents Contribute to the team by managing projects and assisting other technical & product managers in the evaluation of product requirements for software applications; develop and review detailed specifications. Interact with team and management to resolve issues or inquiries related to development; improve processes and procedures where possible. Document pertinent details and graphical representations of systems and flows for historical reference and consumption by team members, other technical teams and management Document procedures for team member consumption Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline 10+ years of experience Proven senior project member, taking on tasks allocated by Project leaders Excellent experience and knowledge with IaaS SEG’s Cisco IronPort. Proofpoint is a plus. Excellent experience and knowledge with Microsoft Email platforms; Exchange Online/M365 and Exchange 2016/2019/SE Strong understanding of E-mail security controls and how to apply them within the Enterprise. Experience of working with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware and others Strong experience with management and scripting in PowerShell. Should be good at performing tasks from the command line and can write PowerShell scripts Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and Load Balancers Experience with ADFS, Entra ID and SAML Experience with the management and optimization of Windows Server 2016/2019 in the Enterprise Experience with Virtual Machines and vendor appliances Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to pinpoint root-cause Experience/ familiarity with industry standard server engineering tools and practices Familiarity with Service-Now and Change/Incident Management practices. Experience in Company integrations during mergers and acquisitions Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus Experience with Azure services and IaaS is a plus Teamwork: Works well with teammates locally and at remote offices; shares knowledge and is seen as someone to go to for help; contributes to peer meetings Problem solving and decision making: Demonstrates a sense of urgency; takes ownership of problems and follows temporary fixes with permanent solution; finds creative solutions.
