Job SummaryWe are seeking dependable and hardworking General Demolition & Cleanup Laborers for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity located at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, FloridaThis is a physically demanding construction position involving interior demolition, debris removal, site cleanup, material handling, and general labor support. Candidates must be comfortable working in an active construction environment and using basic hand and power tools.Because this position is located on a U.S. military installation, candidates must meet all required background screening, identification, transportation, and base-access requirements.Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.Base Access & Security RequirementsTo be considered for this position, candidates must be able to meet the requirements necessary to obtain access to Hurlburt Field AFB.Must be able to successfully complete required criminal background and security screening for contractor access to the military installation.Must possess acceptable identification for base access, including a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or other qualifying state/federal identificationMust be able to obtain and maintain the required contractor/base access credentialsMust have reliable personal transportation to report to Hurlburt Field daily.Candidates must be able to consistently arrive on time for the 6:00 AM start timeKey ResponsibilitiesDemolitionAssist with demolition and removal of walls, flooring, ceilings, non-load-bearing partitions, fixtures, and other designated materials.Use hand and power tools such as sledgehammers, pry bars, drills, saws, and other demolition equipment as assigned.Follow supervisor instructions regarding which materials and structures are approved for demolition.Construction CleanupSweep, shovel, bag, and remove construction debris from work areas.Load demolition materials into designated dumpsters, containers, or hauling vehicles.Remove nails, scraps, broken materials, and other hazards from the job site.Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the shift.Material HandlingLoad and unload construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.Move materials throughout the project site as directed.Assist skilled trades and supervisors with general construction tasks when needed.Site PreparationHelp establish work areas using safety barriers, protective coverings, warning signs, and other required materials.Prepare work areas before demolition or construction activities begin.Protect surrounding surfaces and areas from unnecessary damage.Safety ComplianceFollow all company, project-site, military installation, and OSHA safety requirements.Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or job-site hazards to supervision.Qualifications & RequirementsPrevious construction, demolition, restoration, cleanup, or general labor experience preferred.Ability to safely use or learn to use common hand and power tools.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a construction crew.Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.Must have reliable transportation.Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.Must be able to meet all military base-access and security requirements.Physical RequirementsCandidates must be able to:Lift and carry 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.Stand and walk for extended periods.Frequently bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, reach, and climb as required.Carry construction debris, equipment, tools, and building materials.Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.Work safely in environments involving dust, noise, debris, and heavy materials.Working ConditionsWork may be performed indoors and outdoors depending on the project phase.
