JOB DESCRIPTION VAULT TELLER

POSITION SUMMARY

The individual will process deposits received from various banking and commercial sources, including but not limited to paper currency, coins, checks, and other negotiable documents. Due to the nature of its functions, this position is classified as a sensitive security position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities are included but are not limited to the ones listed below. Additional duties may be assigned, as needed: The individual will receive and process deposits, verifying that the containers (packages) are not tampered with or damaged and that the information on the sealing devices (seals) matches the identification described in the documents or manifests. During the deposit process, cash will be counted, and a deposit will be prepared using existing computerized programs for these purposes. Data entry in this process must be complete and accurate. Any discrepancies should be immediately reported to a supervisor. At the end of the workday, the individual will prepare a reconciliation to match the physically available cash with the data entered to the computer system. Several times a year, as determined by the company, passes will be provided to prepare global reconciliations of money processed by other tellers. As a cashier, the individual must be available for rotation in tasks related to the deposit process for different banking institutions. The individual will not assume permanence in the deposit process of any specific institution (banks or credit unions). As required by the supervisor, the individual will process received change, breaking the rolls, and maintaining a reasonable level of cleanliness in the work area.

GENERAL ORDERS

The individual will never leave their position without being relieved. The individual must be available to work rotating shifts at different times of the day. The individual will always be a reliable person. The individual will never allow unauthorized personnel in the workplace. They will follow all security protocols to protect the property of our clients. The individual will cooperate with any department of the company that requires assistance.

The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Basic computer program handling skills are essential. The individual must be proficient in writing in Spanish, as well as having basic writing skills for report preparation. The ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication is required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to stand for extended periods, as well as speak and listen regularly. Frequently required to use hands to handle and reach objects, as well as speak, hear, crouch, balance, walk, kneel, smell, and observe both at short and long distances. During certain times of the year, the individual may be exposed to a work environment with hot or humid conditions.
