Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Technician II

• Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures with precision
• Prepare lab, equipment, and supplies meticulously for each procedure
• Document patient information accurately and maintain sterile techniques
• Ensure all major equipment is operational and report any malfunctions
• Participate in daily room checks and stock necessary supplies
• Train and mentor junior technicians and technologists, sharing advanced knowledge
• Collaborate with the procedure team to ensure efficient departmental operations
• Act as a radiation safety representative and adhere to organizational safety standards

Requirements of the Cath Lab Technician II

• Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, or Cath/EP Lab
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (AHA only)
• One required certification from the following: RCIS, RCES, RCS, Radiography (R), CI, CV, VI, AB, OB/GYN, AE, RVT
