Assistant Production Manager

Job Title Assistant Production Manager Location Salt Lake City, Utah Job Type Full Time General Purpose Assist the Operations Manager in various production activities concerning scheduling the sheet metal department, observing technical issues surrounding production and eliminating future operational difficulties. Manages workflow and job flow through the production system by setting a precise schedule that meets customer expectations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Dispatches, schedules, and answers questions regarding production orders Ensures sheet metal department meets expectations and deadlines Reviews and forwards production reports, work orders, documentation, and other related paperwork Places orders for parts Manages larger projects or jobs Training & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and three or more years of relevant experience involving demonstrated abilities in construction and fabrication, or any combination of training, education and experience which provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills. Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines, as well as working independently. Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing. Ability to operate computer, telephone, and other office equipment. Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrity. Excellent communication skills. Maintain regular and timely attendance. Ability to travel as necessary. Physical/Sensory Demands The work environment is primarily indoor. Employees are required to use telephone to converse with personnel and customers, and to talk, feel the attributes of objects, grasp, push, and reach with arms or hands. Specific vision abilities include: clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
