What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities) Process a wide variety of member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, payroll adjustments, bank checks, gift cards, VISA cash advances, and IRA deposits/withdrawals in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures. Develop potential new business by uncovering member needs, presenting product benefits, and referring members to appropriate partners to meet quarterly goals. Use sound judgment and interpersonal skills to provide high‑quality member service and assist with referrals as necessary. Maintain and balance a backup cash vault when assigned by the Branch Manager. Assist in training new Tellers. Participate in opening and closing the branch. Interact with members and staff daily in a prompt, effective, and professional manner. Balance the cash drawer and settle daily activities per Credit Union policies. Ensure cash limits are consistently followed and secure cash at all times, locking it in the vault nightly. Assist members with accessing safe deposit boxes. Answer telephone calls, provide information, and direct callers to appropriate departments or personnel. Assist in opening the night depository and log deposits as needed. Participate in balancing ATM under dual control as necessary. Adhere to all aspects of the Credit Union Bank Secrecy Act policy and procedures. Work some Saturdays during the month and occasionally provide temporary coverage at alternate locations. Pursue sale and service goals by attending department meetings, one‑on‑one sessions, and ongoing product knowledge and sales training. Perform additional duties as requested. What We’re Looking For (Qualifications) High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of teller experience preferred, with a satisfactory balancing record. Basic math skills and familiarity with keyboard/personal computer use. Strong customer/member service skills, effective written and verbal communication, and data entry abilities. Desire to work with the general public. Flexibility with work hours, reliability, and dependability. Valid driver’s license for coverage at retail branches.
