Overview Spirit Mountain Casino is hiring a full-time Guest Safety Specialist II in Grand Ronde, Oregon. This on-site position provides proactive safety, security, emergency-response, dispatch, and guest-service support throughout the casino property. Position Details Employer: Spirit Mountain Casino Division: Finance Department: Security Requisition: GUEST001462 Location: 27100 Salmon River Hwy, Grand Ronde, Oregon 97347 Status: Full-time, on-site, non-exempt Compensation level: Level 6 Union status: Not verified Pay: The employer does not provide a job-specific wage in this posting. Primary Duties Provide professional guest assistance, answer questions, give directions, and help resolve general concerns. Patrol casino grounds, lobbies, corridors, public rooms, employee entrances, and other assigned areas on foot or bicycle. Investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, accidents, and other safety or security concerns. Answer incoming calls, route information to dispatch and security posts, and assign officers to active situations. Monitor compliance with gaming regulations, minimum internal control standards, casino policies, Title 31 requirements, and applicable laws. Observe alcohol service and consumption, verify authorized personnel and vendors, and report concerns to management. Perform funds verifications, table-games and slot-machine drops, escorts, and interdepartmental transports. Write clear incident reports and document actions taken. Respond to medical emergencies and support traffic control, evacuations, and crowd management. Specialist II Responsibilities The employee may perform one or more specialized functions, including Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, field-training specialist, dispatcher, lost-and-found custodian, First Aid/CPR instructor, or bike patrol. Qualifications And Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of safety and security or emergency-services experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge of security-service practices, self-defense methods, de-escalation, alcohol-intervention techniques, and computer applications. Must be at least 21 years old. High-security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company insurance. Current First Aid and CPR certification. Must pass testing covering typing, customer-service mindset, and report writing. Employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations. Work Environment Work is normally performed in a gaming environment with frequent loud noise and tobacco smoke. The position requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and kneeling, with routine lifting up to 25 pounds. Occasional exposure to wet conditions, outside weather, and oleoresin capsicum is possible. Random drug testing may be required under company policy.
