Cybersecurity Analyst Intern

Salary: $41,500 - 61,500 per year Requirements:

• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with compliance frameworks and IT controls.
• Preferred qualifications include security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or other security-related credentials.
• Preferred qualifications include exposure to security operations concepts such as SIEM, log analysis, or managed detection and response (MDR/XDR).
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or AWS.
• Preferred qualifications include basic scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.

• We support and carry out security assessment and accreditation activities for IT systems and applications, including security and compliance audits, risk assessments, security plans, and system testing and evaluation.
• We support and perform verification and validation security testing.
• We review and document policy, incident response, and remediation gaps.
• We collaborate with senior cybersecurity professionals to develop action plans for compliance-related findings and recommendations.
• We document and maintain data used to support remediation efforts.
• We provide support for security control implementation.
• We help maintain security policies and procedures.
• We assist in testing security controls to verify that system protections are operating effectively.
