Strategic Project Estimator: Cost, Scope & Proposals

Responsibilities for Estimator Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project Estimate costs by looking at the entire project Present cost estimates to upper management Prepare reports detailing all of the costs going into a project Notice differences between estimated cost and actual cost Look at customer requirements for a project Work with the sales team to prepare proposals Coordinate scope coverage with multiple trade contractors to ensure complete coverage on projects Experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting with limited information Ability to identify trades/scopes required for a project with or without a complete spec manual Prepare high level quality takeoffs and apply unit pricing Extensive understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook: Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam preferred Compare scopes and utilize leveling charts or scope comparison sheets to identify lowest complete bids Attend owner scheduled site visits with subcontractors Conduct constructability and cost control review with in-house design team Qualifications for Estimator 2 years of experience working as an estimator Ability to work independently Ability to put together a professional presentation Ability to create reports on costing data Amazing analytical and math skills Ability to work well on a team Very detail oriented Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements Deep knowledge of how processes work #J-18808-Ljbffr Miranda Construction, LLC
