Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide advanced perioperative nursing care as an RNFA within the operating room, supporting surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver high-quality, efficient care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist under the primary surgeon to prepare and manage patients during perioperative procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about perioperative procedures and post-op care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Complete an approved didactic RNFA course with certification.
• Possess a minimum of three years scrub and circulate experience in an acute care setting.
• Hold current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CNOR.
• Demonstrate at least two years of recent RNFA experience, especially in spine, ortho, and robot-assisted surgeries.
