Overview

We are seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to join our team. We are open to candidates with prior personal lines underwriting experience as well as individuals with broader insurance or service experience who are looking to grow into underwriting.

This role focuses on evaluating personal lines risks, supporting agency relationships, and ensuring strong service and underwriting quality.

What You’ll Do

• Underwrite new and renewal personal lines business (home, auto, umbrella, etc.)
  
• Review submissions for eligibility, pricing, and guideline alignment
  
• Issue quotes, endorsements, and policy documentation accurately and efficiently
  
• Communicate with agents regarding underwriting decisions and requirements
  
• Support retention and growth through sound risk selection
  
• Assist in maintaining turnaround times and service standards
  
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to support underwriting operations
  

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience in personal lines insurance, underwriting, or agency support preferred
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills
  
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability
  
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  
• Willingness to learn underwriting guidelines and develop decision-making skills
  
• Professional, responsive, and relationship-focused approach
