Job Title Janitorial Technician Job Description Summary Janitorial Technician at C&W Services, duties across facilities ranging from corporate offices to manufacturing plants. Key Details Location: Eddyville, IA Salary: up to $22.28/hr (DOE) Hours: Monday‑Friday 6am‑2:30pm Weekly pay on Fridays. What You Will Be Doing Work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures. Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition. Remove trash from offices and other work areas. Strip and wax floors, burnish waxed floors, clean and maintain carpeted floors, and floor scrub ceramic tile floors. Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repair. Follow established routine. Use hand tools and cleaning machinery daily such as floor sweepers and brooms. Work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job. Comply with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures. Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals including employee development planning. Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short‑ and long‑range planning to assist the company’s goals and objectives. Maintain personal tools required for your job. Meet the physical requirements of the job. Maintain good attendance in accordance with Company policy. Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner. Accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion. Maintain positive customer and employee relations. Experience: Two years’ experience in Janitorial / Custodial applications desirable. Physical Demands Ability to observe details at close range. Control Precision – Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions. Manual Dexterity – Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) required. Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time. Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools. Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles safely. Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties. Communication – Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Information Ordering – Ability to arrange things or actions in a specific order or pattern according to rule. Work Environment The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. Employees are occasionally exposed to extreme heat and cold, wet and/or humid conditions. Noise level is usually very loud. The compensation offered depends on factors such as collective bargaining agreement, geographic area, market pay rates, and candidate’s experience and qualifications. Compensation Salary range: $18.94 – $22.28 per hour.
