About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience. Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips. Post cardiac procedural care experience (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements). Ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone. Description: This position offers guaranteed hours with a robust support staff. You will work on a unit with 29 beds and a patient ratio of 1:4. The unit will have Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and Patient Care Technicians available. You will utilize equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, and more. Documentation will be conducted using Meditech. You must align with patient experience goals by treating all patients with courtesy and respect. Engagement with patients will include involving them in bedside shift reports and ensuring their needs are met. Advanced skills required include IV insertions, NGT placement, Chest Tube maintenance, and Foley insertions. The unit promotes a family-like atmosphere and has recognized awards for guidelines in heart failure.
