Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit serving primarily surgical and med-surg patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7
• Manage patients with advanced pulmonary conditions such as pneumonia and COPD, including those requiring tracheostomy care, BiPAP, and CPAP support
• Administer IV drips and infusions, operate IV pumps, and perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
• Monitor patients via telemetry (remote), assist with oxygen weaning, and transition patients from nebulizer to inhaler therapy
• Assist with ICU transfers and patient transports as needed
• Float to like units based on facility needs; scheduling is determined by facility requirements

• Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
• Valid Nursys verification within the past 6 months
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience required; at least 2 years preferred for direct consideration

• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with advanced pulmonary patient populations and associated equipment (BiPAP, CPAP, trachs)
