Swimming Pool Service Technician

Mission The Pool/Hot Tub Service Technician will travel to customer’s homes to open and close pools, and perform repairs on pools, pool liners, spas, and related equipment. Pay $20-$28/hour based on experience Outcomes Perform water chemistry tests and make chemical adjustments as needed to ensure optimum water quality to meet customer requirements Open and close pools, maintaining cleanliness of work area and customer’s property May obtain and install equipment and accessories and test for proper function; provide instructions to the customer on proper use and care Under direction of a Pool/Spa Technician II, assist in testing and making repairs to pumps, heaters, filters, and other equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions Review and update work orders and details, customer concerns, and any related information relative to repair work Qualifications Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and lifting assessment High school diploma Driver’s license, clear of major infractions, and subject to approval from the insurance company Experience using basic hand and power tools Experience in a skilled trade such as plumbing or electrical preferred, but not required Skills Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment Ability to read technical diagrams or blueprints Customer friendly, observant and well organized Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job function Physical and Environmental Conditions Talking and hearing, walking and sitting, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands, are required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently, to move objects. Good hand-eye coordination. Exposure to outside adverse environmental conditions, such as fumes, dust, oils and lubricating fluids, mechanical moving parts, moving vehicles, fluctuating weather conditions, and occasional hazardous chemicals or materials.
