Our team provides comprehensive care to a wide range of patientsfrom companion animals to livestockdelivering high-quality medicine with a strong focus on client relationships and community impact. This is a dynamic, hands-on role supporting veterinarians across small animal appointments, large animal cases, and on-call emergencies. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment as well as traveling for farm calls, assisting with urgent and routine care for large animals. Participation in the on-call rotation is a key component of this position, supporting emergency care needs for both small and large animal patients outside of standard business hours./ppLocation: Wilkes County Veterinary Services 1093 Lexington Rd, Washington, GA 30673/ph3Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:/h3strongClinical Surgical Support/strongulliAssist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures for both small and large animals/liliPrepare and restrain patients safely for exams, diagnostics, and surgery/liliMonitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures and recovery/li/ulstrongLarge Animal Farm Call Support/strongulliAssist with farm calls and field services, including handling livestock and supporting ambulatory care/liliPrepare equipment and supplies for off-site visits/liliSupport veterinarians during after-hours emergency calls, including large animal cases/li/ulstrongDiagnostics Treatment/strongulliPerform laboratory testing, radiographs, and basic diagnostics/liliAdminister medications, vaccines, and fluids as directed/liliMaintain accurate and detailed patient records/li/ulstrongClient Communication Facility Support/strongulliCommunicate effectively with clients, providing education and updates on patient care/liliMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment environment/li/ulh3strongSchedule On-Call Expectations/strong/h3strongClinic Hours:/strongpMonday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:30 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM 12:30 PM Sunday: Closed/pstrongOn-Call Rotation (Required):/strongulliApproximately 1 night per week or every other week/liliWeekend on-call rotation every 68 weeks/liliIncludes after-hours emergency calls and farm calls, supporting both large and small animal patients/li/ulh3strongSkills Knowledge and Expertise/strong/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required/lili1+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital preferred/liliExperience with large animals (equine, livestock) strongly preferred/liliCredentialed Veterinary Technicians (LVT, RVT, CVT) encouraged to apply/li/ulh3strongKey Skills Attributes/strong/h3ulliStrong interest in mixed animal
