Emergency Room Nurse

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Room Nurse for this position. The role requires utilization of the nursing process and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. You will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documentation will be required according to standards of care. Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and/or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction. Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilize clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate concerns to the appropriate chain of command. Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process. This position requires rotation on weekends.
