Servers are expected to answer questions regarding the menu and work closely with other wait staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. They offer suggestions and recommendations to guests, creating a unique and enjoyable dining experience. Servers are expected to go above and beyond for all guests. Responsibilities Direct guests to their seats and present the menu Recommend wine pairings and menu options Coordinate with back servers to meet guest needs Enter orders into Micros and process payments Check IDs to verify legal drinking age Maintain tables through pre-bussing, marking, and clearing Check with guests periodically to ensure satisfaction and address issues Attend to all guest needs Reset tables for new guests Set up food stations for upcoming shifts or large parties Assist hosts with phone calls, seating, and guest departure Strive for outstanding service quality Adapt to a fast-paced environment Skills Knowledge of the menu and restaurant culture Basic English reading and communication skills Strong attention to detail Experience with Micros POS system Ability to prioritize tasks Team player attitude Working Conditions Stand for entire shifts Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude Work efficiently in confined spaces for extended periods Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent Willingness to learn and adapt to a fun culture Prior restaurant experience not required TIPs Certification (CT/NY/MA/VA/FL) ABC Certification (TN) Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Restaurants #J-18808-Ljbffr Barcelona Wine Bar
