Accounting Specialist

Meyn America , a global leader in poultry processing technology, is looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist – Accounts Receivable & Collections to manage critical accounts receivable functions and support the financial success of our organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and collaborating across departments. What You Will Do Manage the accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, invoice entry into customer portals, collections, and cash receipt approvals. Create and process customer invoices within the ERP system while ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements. Monitor aging reports and lead collections efforts to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances. Review, reconcile, and investigate cash receipts, unapplied cash, and customer payment discrepancies. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and accounts receivable reports to support financial reporting and month-end close activities. Resolve billing inquiries and collaborate with sales, operations, and customers to address complex issues. Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate and audit-ready billing and receivable documentation. Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve cash flow performance. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, collection, or general accounting roles. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and with customers.
